Since we’re having a virtual party very soon, it’s good to share the best equipment to use. BASIC – CD player and DJ Mixer

BEGINNER – Controller, Software and Laptop

As a beginner, you don’t need to spend as much. For the laptop, you can use what you currently have but it should be other than what you use for work or schoo. You just need to check if the DJ software is compatible with your laptop. Top brands are Apple, Acer, Asus and Dell. For the DJ softwares, many are using Traktor Pro 3, Serato DJ Pro and Pioneer Record Box Dj. For DJ controller, the top ones are Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S2 MK2, Pioneer DJ DDJ-SB#, Numark Mixtrack Pro III, Denon Dj MC400 and Behringer CMD Studio 4A.

Another tool needed by DJs is the headphones. Of course, they have to hear their music load and clear! For the cost, it would actually depend on how much you are willing to shell out. It can go from $400-$2000. It would definitely be easier once you’ve become a professional already because you will have money coming in. There are a lot of options that you can choose from. You just need to be vigilant in checking recommendations and information about the tools and equipment and of course you have to set a budget for it. Do not go overboard!
